Administered by the Barley Council of Canada, GoBarley is a program committed to promoting Canadian food barley and barley products in the domestic and global marketplaces.

Alberta Barley is an organization representing Alberta’s barley farmers. We work closely with them to help them fulfill their mandate of educating and promoting consumers regarding the benefits of barley. We do this through fun events like Alberta Beer Festivals, Alberta Open Farm Days, and various tours.

New business coaches help entrants navigate the agriculture industry.  They can be relied on to provide contacts and valuable information from their vast archives and knowledgeable staff.

Olds College has a 100+ year history in education supporting agriculture. In 2013, the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations program was established which provides hands-on training and includes researching and developing recipes along with sourcing locally grown materials.

The Canadian Malting Barley Technical Centre is a research facility that provides technical expertise and market information for breeders, producers, seed companies, processors, exporters, maltsters and brewers who are part of the Canadian malting barley value chain.

Hamill Farms has been selling malt quality barley to Canada Malt long before Red Shed Malting existed. They’ve always been a key partner in keeping barley as part of our sustainable crop rotation. We are excited to deepen this partnership with cool projects like Bock Chain, a beer that traced the barley supply chain using Blockchain technology.
