CMBTC Alberta Malt Barley Field Day

Local farmer Jason Lenz and Peter Watts from the Canadian Malt Barley Technical Centre hosted a field day and information session for farmers and industry. The event was made possible by Results Driven Agriculture Research (RDAR) and executed exceptionally by Alberta Barley.

Joe and Matt saw some AAC Connect and CDC Churchill fields along with some fertilizer trials that were part of Alberta Barley's Plot2Farm Program of on-farm agronomic research. We enjoyed an overview of barley markets and malt markets, a presentation from Kirk at Blindman and Rory at Grain Discovery about traceability and hanging out with friends from Hammer Malt, Rahr Malt and Canada Malting. The Bentley Barley to Beer Bash was a resounding success!
