Agriculture and farming are among the most vulnerable populations when it comes to mental health. 40% of producers across Canada reported that they would feel uneasy about seeking professional help due to what people may think.
Together with our friends Do More Ag, we're hosting a Agriculture-specific Mental Health Workshop at Craft Beer Commonwealth in Red Deer on April 12 and 13th. Thanks to the generous support of the Alberta Wheat and Barley Commission, this course is free for attendees.
This 2-day, 12 hour course, was developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and will be facilitated by a Certified Instructor. This workshop aims to improve mental health literacy and provide the skills and knowledge to help people better manage potential or developing mental health problems in themselves, a family member, a friend or a colleague.
